It’s The Ship, Holy Ship, Shipsomnia, Mad Decent Boat Party and Ultra Europe Boat Party – we have seen their after movies, and it seems the only thing that can possibly be better than partying, is partying on a boat.

While Thailand does not have its own cruise festival (yet), there are some noteworthy boat party series that blaze a trail. We have compiled a list, in no particular order, of the 5 Boat Parties in Thailand you need to know.

> > Bangkok Boat Party

Bangkok Boat Party is Bangkok’s original boat cruise party. It takes place 1-2 times a year and held its 10th installment in March 2016.

Their boat used to disembark from Sathorn Pier. However, the most recent installment disembarked from Asiatique. The boat takes attendees down the Chao Phraya River, usually from 9pm to 1am. The capacity of the most recent installment was 300 people.

Their music policy includes Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Bass Music, House and Techno. They have welcomed guest DJs from crews such as Jiving Tribe, Bangkok Invaders, CMYK, Phatfunk, as well as DJ Lazcru, Sunju Hargun, Skinny Mark and many more!

> > EDM Boat Party

The EDM Boat Party was founded in mid-2016, with its 3rd installment in November.

Their boat disembarks from Asiatique and cruises down the Chao Phraya River, usually from 8pm to 1am. The capacity of the most recent installment was 300 people.

Their music policy includes EDM and Trap.

> > Zound Cruize

Zound Cruize made its maiden voyage in October 2016.

Their boat disembarked from Asiatique. However, the second installment will announced to embark from River City. The boat cruises down the Chao Phraya River, from 8pm to midnight. The capacity of their boat is 300 people.

Their music policy includes House and Progressive House.

> > Yolo Boat Circus x Hype Luxury Boat Club

Luxury cruise operator, Hype Luxury Boat Club and the established Phuket-based party promoter YOLO join forces 1-2 times per month for the “Yolo Boat Circus” parties.

Their Catamaran disembarks either from AO PO Grand Marina or Patong Pier, depending on the season. Their cruise usually goes from 3pm to 9pm.

Their music policy includes House and Techno. Guest DJs have included Kimball Collins, Mendy Indigo Sunju Hargun, Sam Cannon & Phoebe D’Abo, Dan Buri, Pornbugs, Oliver Knight, Xavier Arak, Marco Loco, Katze and many more.

> > Jump Up

JumpUp was launched in early 2016. Its 3rd installment was planned for late October, but had to be postponed.

Their boat disembarks from Ocean Marina Yacht Club. The cruise usually goes from 4pm to 9pm. However, their 3rd installment was planned to go until 10pm. While their first two events started with 60-70 people on a catamaran, the 3rd installment was announced to be held on board of the pirate ship “Admirallica” and accommodate up to 150 people.
